At Merenda Foods, we develop custom solutions that are perfectly tailored to our target audience, from babies and toddlers to preschoolers, children, and adults. Product development plays a key role in this process. From recipe and specification development to sample management and innovation and improvement projects, our team works every day on snacks that meet the needs of customers, consumers and the market.

As a Product Development Intern, you will work as part of our Product Development team. As a second-year student, you will support the team with day-to-day activities related to samples, recipes, specifications, and innovation and improvement projects. As a third-year student, you will also work on an in-depth improvement project.

What does the position entail?

  • Sample management
  • Preparing and processing samples
  • Support for recipe development
  • Support for specification development
  • Participate in innovation projects
  • Contributing ideas to improvement projects
  • Recording results and product information


Are you a third-year student? If so, there is also an opportunity to work on an in-depth improvement project. This project focuses on optimizing extruded protein and fiber snacks made from legumes. The emphasis is on improving texture, shape stability, and product quality.
